Movera reports strong growth and hiring drive as completions surge

Conveyancing specialist Movera has delivered a 33% year-on-year increase in completed sale and purchase transactions across its portfolio firms, ONP Solicitors and Cavendish, throughout 2025. The surge reflects the group's strategic capacity expansion to accommodate rising market demand.

In a notable operational achievement, ONP Solicitors' remortgage division processed 5,000 cases within a single 24-hour period on two separate occasions. Supporting this momentum, Movera has onboarded over 150 personnel while simultaneously extending its regional office network.

The workforce now exceeds 650 employees, incorporating nearly 100 newly recruited conveyancers alongside a specialized Know Your Client (KYC) unit. This dedicated team focuses on accelerating source-of-funds verification processes, thereby enhancing transaction velocity across all operations.

Nick Hale, CEO at Movera, emphasized the strategic foundation behind these results: "This expansion stems from sustained investment across our people, operational frameworks, and technological infrastructure. We've prioritized scaling capacity while maintaining service standards, all in pursuit of our core objective – transforming the home-moving experience for our teams, partners, and clients.

"Industry data from Landmark Information Group indicates UK purchase transactions averaged 123 days from instruction to completion last year. At Movera, we're committed to modernizing legacy workflows and fundamentally improving the home acquisition process. Our goal is to compress transaction timelines and restore the excitement of moving house, eliminating the frustration that currently defines it."

The company recently announced it had compressed transaction timelines to just three days between draft contract pack receipt and completion through a strategic collaboration with Connells Group and iamproperty. This achievement involved deploying cross-organizational dedicated teams and implementing process refinements designed to accelerate shared transaction workflows.

Movera indicated it will pursue similar collaborative arrangements with additional transaction stakeholders to drive further efficiency gains.

"Our collaboration with Connells and iamproperty validates how much of the transaction lifecycle – and its efficiency – remains within our sphere of influence," Hale continued. "As we advance through 2026, we're maintaining our innovation trajectory and forging partnerships with other transaction participants, enabling collective enhancement of the home-moving journey for mutual benefit."

During 2025, Movera executed two brand refreshes, modernizing Cavendish and consolidating its conveyancing referral platform, CAL, under a unified brand architecture. The platform now features Broker Conveyancing and Agent Conveyancing as distinct product offerings.

The group has augmented its central London office footprint, established and subsequently expanded an ONP Solicitors location in Cardiff between 2025 and 2026, and transitioned its Leeds operation to more spacious facilities. The organization currently manages seven brands distributed across five UK operational hubs.
