Edward Rose Property Group (ERPG), an aggressively expanding Your Move franchise operator, has completed its fourth independent agency acquisition in twelve months, purchasing a well-established lettings business in Southsea, Hampshire, from a prominent figure in the region's property rental sector.
The acquisition marks another strategic move by ERPG, which has concentrated its operations across England's South Coast and South West regions. The franchise holder has emerged as one of the brand's most dynamic operators since LSL transitioned Your Move to a franchise-based operating model in May 2023, moving away from direct corporate ownership.
Leveraging LSL's acquisition financing support for franchise partners, ERPG has acquired Flats in Southsea following founder Alwin Oliver's decision to retire from the business. The transaction represents a significant portfolio addition for the growing franchise operation.
The acquired lettings operation brings a substantial portfolio of 109 managed rental properties and relationships with 100 landlords, including management of Oliver's personal property investments. The business's digital presence has been discontinued as integration proceeds.
Oliver's influence in Portsmouth's rental property sector extends beyond his commercial enterprise. He continues to chair the Portsmouth and District Landlords Association, maintaining his position as a key voice in the local private rental market despite stepping back from day-to-day operations.
The transition preserves operational continuity, with Oliver's two-person team transferring to Your Move under the rebrand, ensuring existing client relationships remain intact throughout the ownership change.
