Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam shared a two-word message about her historic debut and Winter Olympics win.

Much focus was on Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam on Monday as she competed at the women’s 1000m race at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics and achieved a historic performance.

Her winning time of 1:12:31 set a new Olympic record and earned her a gold medal for Team Netherlands. Her teammate, Femke Kok, finished second overall with a time of 1:12:59 to claim silver, while Japan’s Miho Takagi won the bronze medal with her time of 1:13:95.

The commentator called it a "crowning moment for the biggest star in Dutch speed skating," as Leerdam set a new record with her championship performance.

Leerdam had her fiancé, social influencer and boxer Jake Paul, among the spectators who showed support for her and cheered during the big event.

Following the event, Leerdam took to her official Instagram to share several messages about her championship win.

In an Instagram carousel post, she showed various photos from the event, including her celebrating the win with both arms raised triumphantly and enjoying her gold medal in an emotional moment on the podium.

"OLYMPIC CHAMPION 1000 METER!!!!!! I can’t believe it!!! 🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥹🥹" Leerdam wrote in the post's caption

Jake Paul wrote, "still crying," in an IG reply to summarize his emotions about her historic performance and gold medal win.

Shortly after that post, she shared another Instagram post, this time a video showing her speeding around the rink and crossing the finish line ahead of her closest competitors.

"PINCH ME!!!🥹🥹🥹🏆🏆🏆 #Olympics," Leerdam wrote as her message to celebrate the unbelievable feat in Italy.

Her Instagram video post resulted in over 199,000 likes and 4,000-plus comments, including one from friend Livvy Dunne, best known as an LSU gymnast and social influencer.

"CONGRATULATIONS!!! Olympic champpp✨😍🥇," Dunne wrote to Leerdam.

Several days ago, Leerdam celebrated being part of this year's Winter Olympics, sharing a video with fans as she skated.

"Happy & grateful to be here 🤍 #olympics." she wrote as her message, ahead of her competition.

The 27-year-old Dutch speed skater certainly had quite a debut with her historic win on Monday. She boasts over 5M followers on Instagram and has since changed her bio to include "🥇OLYMPIC CHAMPION 1000m."

Leerdam and her teammate's first and second-place finishes in the women’s 1000m speed skating race gave Team Netherlands its first two medals at the Winter Olympics.

She's now finished the first of two events she'll participate in, as Leerdam will next compete in the women's 500m race on Sunday, Feb. 15.
